Following on from the inaugural event in 2017 the GROWING SA conference returned in 2018 and was a huge success. Nearly 250 people attend the event and it featured a top line-up of speakers on themes of policy and farm business information,
genetically modified crops and biosecurity surrounding the South Australian livestock industry. Keynote speakers included Minister for Primary Industries and Regional Development Hon Tim Whetstone MP, GM expert Dr Stuart Smyth from the University of Saskatchewan, Rural Directions Simon Vogt and Agricultural Analyst Wes Lefroy from Rabobank.
