Five businesses have been selected by a panel of expert judges to pitch their AgTech product adoptable for grain and/or livestock farmers to the Growing SA attendees.
The five finalists are:
AGRIWEBB: AgriWebb, co-founded by a South Australian in 2014, is the global leading livestock management software built for farmers’ success. They help farmers get the most out of their business by connecting records, insights, teams and data tools all in one place. AgriWebb aims to empower the livestock industry with the best tools to feed the world sustainably, profitably, and efficiently.
FARMBOT: Farmbot is the tool that is trusted by farmers to remotely monitor their water assets. Farmbot’s range of sensors and the easy-to-use platform, MyFarmbot, provides users with real-time SMS, email alerts and reporting of water levels and trends. CERES: Ceres Imaging is a high-growth, venture-backed aerial imagery company supporting sustainable, profitable agriculture across four continents and 40 crop types. From their headquarters in Oakland, California, they have built a global team of scientists, engineers, and agronomists passionate about artificial intelligence and sustainable agriculture. They have an office in South Australia at Loxton in the Riverland and their technology is being demonstrated at the Loxton AgTech farm.
DART: Drone Agricultural Remote Technology or DART is a locally owned South Australian company, with the mission of providing farmers across the state with the most accurate data for more sustainable farming. DART has a fleet of XAG aerial vehicles using the latest in agricultural drone technology — capable of mapping, seeding and spraying pasture remotely.
TRAITSELECT: Founded in 2022, by three aspiring students of Agriculture, South Australian AgTech company TraitSelect provides livestock breeders and industry professionals with a mobile tool that enables informed management, purchasing and selling decisions. The company is building a user-friendly platform that aims to reduce the time farmers spend digesting sale catalogue information. TraitSelect’s filtering mechanism identifies stud stock based on selected breeding values. The company are constructing an app that comprises a variety of niche tools to help capture livestock data from grass roots in a uniform format.
